Our Team

Mathnasium, Al Muroor, has an experienced team of teachers well-trained to give the students personalised structured lessons based on the Mathnasium curriculum that teaches from the ground up, from core concepts to more complex ones. We make sure that the students are given equal amounts of encouragement and challenge to help get better in Math. Afruse Shahana, Center Director 

Afruse began her journey in Mathnasium as a Math Instructor at Bain Al Jasrein in 2019 and is now the Center Director in Al Muroor, Abu Dhabi. She is from India and studied B-Tech in Electronics and Communications at the Muthoot Institute Technology and Science. She enjoys working in Mathnasium because of the opportunity to help students understand what they find difficult to comprehend. She finds it very rewarding to interact with students as it does not feel like a work environment where she is working. She loves easing the Mathematical explanations for students so that they find it interesting, as it brings a smile to her face when students begin to understand and enjoy Math. During her spare time she enjoys making crafts, drawing and gardening. 

Abitha Basheer, Assistant Center Director 

Abitha is the Assistant Center Director at Mathnasium in Al Muroor, Abu Dhabi. She is from India and studied BVOC Multimedia at Calicut University in Kerala. She is pursuing an MBA in Marketing Management at Bharatiar University. Abitha is proud to work in Mathnasium as it is a reputable institution with positive coordination and teamwork with staff members. Unlike in other subjects, Abitha gets high satisfaction from maths as its final results can be verified. She finds it easy to teach students math in an organised, step by step manner. During her spare time, she enjoys movies and crafts.

Jalisha Shaji, Instructor

Jalisha is the Math Instructor at Mathnasium in Muroor, Abu Dhabi. She is from India and has received a Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering at the TKM College of Engineering in Kerala. The most enjoyable thing about working in Mathnasium for Jalisha is the positive working environment within the company. She enjoys working with young minds and is extremely happy to be a part in bringing out the full potential in children. During her high school years, she has fostered an intense passion towards teaching Mathematics. She found problem-solving to be her forte. Her favourite hobbies include; travelling and listening to music.

Mohammed Abdul Wahab, Instructor

Mohammed is the Math Instructor at Mathnasium, Al Muroor. He is from India and received a Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. He strongly believes that imparting deep understanding of Math fundamentals is important to excel and fortunately, the Mathnasium curriculum and method does that very well. Disciplined students, friendly environment and team coordination are the things Mohammed finds the most enjoyable at Mathnasium. Mohammed has a strong passion for coding and mathematics which are deeply connected. Mohammed believes that Math makes you reasonable and rational. His favourite hobbies are; reading history, learning new skills and watching movies.
