Our Team

Mathnasium, Motor City, has an experienced team of teachers well-trained to give the students personalised structured lessons based on the Mathnasium curriculum that teaches from the ground up, from core concepts to more complex ones. We make sure that the students are given equal amounts of encouragement and challenge to help get better in Math. The parents can also be sure to be updated of their child's progress on a regular basis. Come meet our team! 

Aslihan Karaabat, Center Director

Aslihan is from a city in the Aegean region of Turkey. She graduated from Trakya University in Turkey with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.  Aslihan started her Mathnasium journey in 2013 as an instructor, progressing to Head Teacher, and for the last four years, she has been a Center Director in the same Center in Motor City, Dubai.  Aslihan really likes the Mathnasium MethodTM and believes it with all her heart. Seeing the kids grow in confidence and feeling that they have improved their Math skills is worth a lot to her. Other than spending quality time with her two kids; Aslihan loves crafting, creating, decorating and enjoys more on do-it-yourself projects. 

Mohammad Sajid Ansari, Instructor

Mohammad Sajid graduated from University of Mumbai, INDIA with a Master's degree in Mathematics. He enjoys teaching and learning Math with his students, and the fact that he's part of their progress gives him a sense of fulfilment. He believes that learning Math makes students creative and logical. Outside of the Center, he loves spending time with family, eating good food, enjoys watching movies and TV series, listening to music and travelling. 

Kenneth Mervin Go, Instructor 

Ken is the Math Instructor at Mathnasium, Motor City. Ken graduated from Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Philippines with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a major in Mathematics. He enjoys teaching and learning Math with his students and the fact that he's part of their progress gives him a sense of fulfilment. He believes that learning Math makes students creative and logical. Outside of the Center, he enjoys watching movies and TV series, listening to music and traveling. 

Latifa Ibasan, Instructor 
Latifa is the Math Instructor at Mathnasium, Motor City. Latifa graduated from a State University with a degree in Bachelor of Elementary Education, in the year 2014 and got her Professional Teaching License in 2015. She started her journey with Mathnasium in 2019. Being able to teach the young and to touch lives is a big shot of fulfilment on her part as an instructor and here in Mathnasium, she was able to share her expertise in teaching the subject that she loves and obviously it's Math. Mathematics has been her favorite subject and what she loves about it is that it challenges her and brings her out to explore, to do trial and error, and to push herself to be able to get the answers right. Outside the Center, she loves to explore and travel to new places. 

Cherry Teresa, Instructor 

Cherry is the Math Instructor at Mathnasium, Motor City. Prior to joining Mathnasium Motor City, Ms. Cherry has spent the last five years in Dubai teaching Mathematics to almost all grade levels across different curricula. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of the Philippines. She believes that every child can reach their full potential given the right tools and dedicated learning support. She loves teaching Math using the Mathnasium Method and hopes that her students will love the subject as much as she does. In her spare time, she likes to explore new places and try new cuisines.

Mikee Abasola, Adminsitrator 

Mikee is from the Queen city of the south Cebu, Philippines. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - General course from University of San Jose- Recoletos. What Mikee likes most about working in Mathnasium is that she herself also learns new things, especially in Math, since she has been observing instructors of how they teach the students. As an administrator she is happy to support parents and their kids, as they place their trust in us to have their kids excel in Math. She loves seeing kids who work hard on answering worksheets to gain stars to get rewards, which she prepares on the gift cabinet.
Mikee enjoys drinking coffee and spending time alone. She also loves reading poetry books, watching movies and organizing.
