Mathnasium The Villa, has an experienced team of teachers well-trained to give the students personalised structured lessons based on the Mathnasium curriculum that teaches from the ground up, from core concepts to more complex ones. We make sure that the students are given equal amounts of encouragement and challenge to help get better in Math. The parents can also be sure to be updated of their child's progress on a regular basis. Come meet our team! 

Dr. Mehmood Syed, Franchise Owner and Acting Center Director 

MBBS DRCOG MRCGP MBA FFCI

Dr Mehmood Syed is a UK-trained Consultant in Family Medicine with over 20 years’ experience in the delivery and management of healthcare services in the UK and across the GCC.

Mehmood holds numerous postgraduate medical qualifications as well as an MBA from the Business School of Imperial College London. He is the author of an internationally published textbook of primary care and several peer-reviewed academic publications. He is continuing his studies with a Masters’ degree in Data Science with the University of Edinburgh and has authored a science fiction novel, which is to be published in summer 2022.

Mehmood has two children who are Mathnasium students. Impressed by the significant improvement he has seen in his own children’s confidence and ability with mathematics over the last two years, Mehmood decided to join Mathnasium to help more children benefit from the unique Mathnasium Method.

Mohammed Oyediran, Instructor          

Mohammed Oyediran is an accomplished educator with over 5 years’ experience of teaching Mathematics to children of all ages and abilities. He holds a Diploma in Education & Training, and a BSc in Statistics.

Mohammed is passionate about inspiring future leaders to maximise their potential. He ensures that his students can grasp fundamental concepts and then build upon them to apply mathematics to real-world problems and advanced examples. He engages easily with students of all ages to help them discover the beauty of mathematics and teaches his colleagues how to use advanced statistical software like R-Studio and SPSS.

He enjoys playing football and chess and is presently learning web development.

Omer Osman, Instructor   

Omer Osman is a passionate Mathnasium Instructor who brings a dynamic blend of academic prowess and teaching expertise to Mathnasium in The Villa. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is currently pursuing a Master of Education degree at the Liverpool John Moores University in the UK.

After a successful career in engineering, Omer transitioned to education in 2017 and began working at Sudan's elite Westminster School. There, he gained valuable insights into teaching mathematics according to the needs of his students’ individual learning styles and created an inclusive classroom environment in which his students were able to excel.

Omer joined Mathnasium Abu Dhabi in 2019 where he was able to bring to life Mathnasium’s unique learning material to demystify complex mathematical concepts and simplify intricate problems into manageable steps, resulting in measurable improvements in his students’ abilities.

Omer is adept at fusing engineering insights with educational techniques. His approach bridges the gap between theory and real-world applications, helping students grasp the practical relevance of mathematical concepts and kindling their enthusiasm for the subject in a patient and fun environment.

With experiences from Westminster School and Mathnasium Abu Dhabi, Omer has evolved into an exceptional Mathnasium Instructor. His commitment to enhancing students' educational journeys, coupled with his distinctive background, makes him an inspiring educator shaping the next generation of confident mathematicians.
